Happy Belated Samhain everyone. I wanted to wish everyone such last night, but my darling nephew had ripped the internet cable out of the wall, so was left without internet until I got home this afternoon.
Sorry that I have been absent for so long ... I ended up back in the hospital on the 24th with a rather large pulmonary embolism, situated in right pulmonary artery and extending to the next major vessel (forgive me, but my anatomy and physiology knowledge seems to be escaping me right now.) I'd thought I was having an asthma attack but at some point had passed out. My tribemate couldn't rouse me, so took me back to the hospital where they diagnosed the PE. Long story short, six days and lots of Coumadin later, I am finally at home.
It feels so good to be home. I have missed all of you so much. I will have lots of time to catch up ( and to transfer my page over to the new site) since the doctors will not let me go back to work until mid January. Right now, I'm not even allowed out of bed, so am sitting here with the keyboard on my lap.
I hope everyone has been well. I will touch base with each of you as I am able.
Happy Samhain! May the New Year bring you all the best!
I received a phone call this morning from my mother. My brother-in-law, who has been battling brain cancer, was taken to the ER this morning after suffering a seizure at home. He had another in the ambulance and yet another when he arrived at the hospital.
This is not good news. it was2 1/2 years ago when he suffered a seizure at home and we discovered that he had a tumor in his frontal lobe. Surgery was done and as much as could be taken out was (to have taken the whole thing would have forever altered who he was. ) He has undergone both chemo and radiation since then and it really seemed that he was beating the odds.
There was a cat scan done this morning and a MRI is scheduled for later today. Then we will havea better idea of what is going on.
If you could send healing energy to Marty ( a red headed Scotsman) in Des Moines, I know that my family and I would appreciate it so much.
I've been in the hospital. Saturday, after seeng some friends off (they're moving to Florida), we went back to a tribemate's house to unload clothing from my van for a community clothing share that we both volunteer at. During transport of the boxes from my van to her garage, I slipped and fell, breaking my right knee in two places. I got out of the hospital last night and will probably go home (I am at the tribemate's home) sometime next week. The doctor has told me that I am to be non-weight bearing for the next 2-3 months. It's only day 5 and I am already stir-crazy.
I will try to get online as much as I can, but as of now cannot figure out how often that will be. I hate to impose upon her, so it will probably be better once I am back to my own home and own computer.
Thinking of you all and hoping that you are all well.
I just got a call from Sage Star Song. Her horse, Sky, has fallen ill. The stables just called her and asked her to get her vet down there pronto.
They aren't sure what is wrong with him, but he has not eaten nor drank all day.
She has asked that those of us who can sending healing energies Sky's way. She is very worried about him. Sending a few calming energies her way as well would be appreciated.
Thanks so very much! I will update as I find out more information.
